For over 16 years, Sophisticated Florals has brought many brides’ floral visions to life. Our offerings are catered to each individual client rather than offering premade packages since no two weddings or events are the same.

We also offer floral styling for corporate events and special occasions throughout the Triad area. Every design is thoughtfully curated to reflect your vision whether hosting an intimate affair or a grand celebration. We bring creativity, elegance, and attention to detail to every event—no matter the size of your guest list.

Plant & Gift Boutique

In need of a meaningful gift or unique plant? Visit our local shop on Burke Street, in Winston Salem. We take pride in offering a curated selection of flowers and plants you won’t find in a traditional florist, along with unique gifts from over 25 small makers across the United States. 

When ordering flowers you can feel comfortable knowing that when you pick up a fresh arrangement from us that you are receiving a one of a kind arrangement that is built with the recipient in mind.  Local delivery is available within a 15 mile radius.

We also host classes and special events in our shop. Gather your friends and enjoy a fun, hands-on experience as you learn the art of arranging flowers or creating your own unique plant design. Our workshops are relaxed, creative, and the perfect way to celebrate, connect, and let your creativity bloom. A sampling of our classes are - flower arranging, terrariums, kokedama, mounted stag horns, moss art, and holiday wreaths. Our new class schedule comes out quarterly. Can’t make it to one that is scheduled? We book private classes with 4 or more participants.

Stephanie Karadzhov

Stephanie Karadzhov, founder of Sophisticated Florals, has loved flowers ever since she was a child. Her passion led her to study Horticultural Science in college, where she gained formal training in landscape architecture and botany. A Winston-Salem native, Stephanie returned home after college with a mission: to bring beautiful, natural floral arrangements to the City of Arts and Innovation.

In her earlier career, Stephanie worked in a commercial greenhouse where chemicals were heavily relied on — a practice that inspired her to take a different path with her own business. With Sophisticated Florals, she now focuses on chemical-free, local blooms whenever possible; especially the ones that are grown in her own garden for the shop. The business is a full-service florist that serves weddings, private events, and customers throughout Winston-Salem and the surrounding states.
